IT is good to be a vegetarian for health reasons. It also has benefits in terms of nutrition, spiritualism, ethics, compassion and economics.
More and more people in the United States, England, Europe and other parts of the world are taking to a vegetarian diet these days.
There is a growing acceptance in the west that vegetarianism is a more modern, scientific and better way of living.
Besides Indian saints and sages, many great men of the world like Plato, Socrates, Leonardo da Vinci and Einstein were vegetarians.
Medical authorities throughout the world have concluded that a vegetarian diet is ideal for promoting good health. For example, fruits, vegetables, pulses, nuts, and milk products provide a balanced diet, which does not turn into toxins in our system.
It is argued that there is a lot of protein in meat and eggs, but we do not need much concentrated protein in our system. Our protein has to be as close to the natural source as possible. There is plenty of protein in soya beans, nuts, seeds and dairy products which are easy to digest.
You will notice that when a person is afflicted with cancer or heart disease, the doctor will always advise the patient to go on a vegetarian diet. So why wait for something to happen?
Thought for reflection: Generally, vegetarianism promotes longevity.

好的东西,通常不容易做到。
(可是,难做的东西,未必都是好的!)
