"People haven't found meaning in their lives, so that they're running all the time looking for it. They think the next car, the next house, the next job. Then they find those things are empty, too, and they keep running."
*
"Learn to detach. Don't cling to things, because everything is impermanent."
*
"Everyone knows they're going to die, but nobody believes it. If we did, we would do things differently."
*
"When you learn how to die, you learn how to live."
*
"It's natural to die. The fact that we make such a big hullabaloo over it is all because we don't see ourselves as part of nature. We think because we're human we're something above nature. We're not. Everything that gets born, dies."

Our stay on earth is transient. We should strive to do everything we can do while here on earth.

Dying is one thing to be sad about, living unhappily is another thing.

By living each day as if it could be our last, we relate to each life experience passionately, powerfully, and memorably.

Life is a journey. It makes numerous twists and turns.

"The World Needs"

A little more kindness and a little less creed;
A little more giving and a little less greed;
A little more smile and a little less frown;
A little less kicking a man when he's down;
A little more 'We' and a little less 'I';
A little more laugh and a little less cry;
A few more flowers on the pathway of life, and fewer on graves at the end of the strife.
